Do you actually need fax?

Why fax survives in healthcare
Fax persists because it is legally settled, not because it is good. Point-to-point fax has a long-established place in health information exchange, and a clinic that has already documented its fax workflow has less to re-validate than one adopting a new transmission method.
The HIPAA claim, without the badge
Several fax vendors advertise “HIPAA compliant fax”. No software is HIPAA compliant on its own — compliance is a property of your organisation’s safeguards, not of a product you bought.
